Krim K. Lacey earned his doctorate in Sociology from Wayne State University. He also holds a MA in Sociology from Brooklyn College of the City University of New York (CUNY). Prior to his Master's degree, he graduated with his BA from the University of Windsor.
Dr. Lacey has research affiliations with Wayne State University College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences and University of Michigan's Institute for Social Research. His primary research interest is on intimate partner violence, particularly focusing on minority and immigrant populations.
Dr. Lacey' s secondary research interest is on education. Beyond these interests, his research span various subfields including physical and mental health, disabilities, culture, migration and incarceration. Along with research, Dr. Lacey teaches research methodology and statistics courses.
His publication with Landon Elsemere Press is titled, "Minority Women in Violent Relationship" in Tridico, F., Pellerito, J.M., & J. Armstrong, (2009) Issues in Social Justice.
His most recent peer-reviewed publication is titled, "The Impact of Different Types of Intimate Partner Violence on the Mental and Physical Health of Women in Different Ethnic groups" was published in the Journal of Interpersonal Violence (2013), 28(2), 359-385.
Landon Elsemere Press is pleased to have a working relationship with Dr. Lacey, who will take on several writing projects in the next few years in the areas of Criminal Justice and statistics.
